So, I know we’re going on 3 days post-oscar, but there’s no way I can’t not talk about the film, “Slumdog Millionaire”. We actually saw the film over Christmas, which was WAY before it became this super duper fabulously well-known rags to riches phenomenon. Anyway, if you haven’t seen it, I would highly recommend it. It’s not your typical Bollywood movie, in fact, it was directed and produced by two Brits. Though, not to give anything away, it does end with a fantastic dance scene…which is low-key, relatively speaking, yet highly entertaining. And, the best part of the movie, besides Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto, who are obviously on their way to full stardom (and totally deserve it) are the kids! So precious, so adorable, and so talented! Apparently they headed to Disneyland before heading back to India today…of course.
Go see the film. The music is top-notch too. Mad props to A.R. Rahman. He’s an industry genius.
