I am not cheap, but I do like deals (and who doesn’t). It’s the feeling that you paid less than the guy next to you who strolled into the store without the coupon and paid market price (how old school). It’s not easy, though, one has to plan and then hit the road. It begins with searching for coupons and then printing the damn thing and then making sure you only hit the store for which you have the coupon and not getting sucked into binge buying. There’s finally an answer to all our prayers. It’s called “Yowza“.
Yowza is an iPhone app which locates where you are and finds you coupons for the stores closest to you. Once you select the store and the coupon, you see the bar-code for the coupon on your iPhone which can be scanned at the register. Keep in mind, Yowza is working directly with the merchants, so don’t feel that the guy at the register will give you a lame excuse for not giving you the discount. Also, another great feature is they only allow merchants to post their best 3 deals. This way, it saves us (“the buyers”) time from scrolling through a long list of deals which sometimes gets crazy confusing. Right now the app is still in its early stages, but I feel there is definitely potential and I for one will be using it quite often. Merchants can update their deals in real time, which should help create competition and thus good deals for us. So, go ahead and download the app right now from iTunes.
