Several weeks ago, we posted pictures from our very first half marathon in Virginia Beach (which was actually in the spring). Since we loved the experience so much, we decided to sign up for another this year…again in VA Beach. This time, we chose to go with the Rock ‘N Roll franchise. And, what a good time we had. They had bands at every mile marker…in addition to tons of cheerleading squads from the local high schools. All in all, crazy cool, fantastic race. Not to mention our pacers were the best, in full raging gear with blow-up guitars, big hair, and fishnets. Would love to participate in all of the Rock N Roll1/2 marathons at some point and maybe even do a full marathon in the near future. Perhaps next year? We’ll see! The NYC Marathon is so annoyingly competitive to get into. And, since we’re on the topic of running, I thought I would give a plug to “Runners World“, the greatest running magazine EVER! Informative, instructive, and inspirational. It’s all about the 13.1. Cheers.
