We are so excited that during this holiday season we have had few opportunities to do a little something which really makes us happy and at the end of the day makes you feel content and thankful for everything you have. This weekend we are taking part in a run organized by this organization called “Girls on the run”. We have signed up as buddy runners for 3rd – 5th grade girls who take part in a 5K run. Here’s a little about the organization, you can read more here.

Mission
To educate and prepare girls for a life time of self-respect and healthy living.
About
Girls on the Run® is a life-changing, experiential learning programs for girls age eight to thirteen years old. The programs combine training for a 3.1 mile running event with self-esteem enhancing, uplifting workouts. The goals of the programs are to encourage positive emotional, social, mental, spiritual and physical development.
Objectives
The Girls on the Run objective is to reduce the potential display of at-risk activities among its participants. The goal is fewer adolescent pregnancies and eating disorders, less depression and suicide attempts, as well as fewer substance/alcohol abuse problems and confrontations with the juvenile justice system.
We follow the run with a lovely portrait session for Kyra’s friends nephew. It is always fun and interesting to cover children. We are super excited.
To top it all off, we have two client meetings and, yes, we will still end up watching the Redskins play the Saints (oh well).
Y’all have a great weekend. Stay tuned for pictures next week. Tell us about your weekend plans.
In the meantime enjoy this viral video for a good cause.
cheers.
