It’s crazy how the wedding blogosphere has taken off in the last several years! And, of course, also very exciting because it gives creative people in the industry a platform to discuss style, fashion, and design, inform and inspire, and sometimes even ramble…as the case may be for us. Hahaha. Anyway, here are some of the wedding blogs that we love and recommend (note: this is by no means an exhaustive list, we promise to post more in the future):
Style Me Pretty – If you’ve heard all of the hoopla around this blog, it’s definitely warranted. It’s sort of the go-to blog right now for all things wedding. And, Abby has made it super gorgeous. She refers to it as the “chic blog for the style obsessed bride.” Exactly what it is. Need I say more?
Wedding chicks – Amy and Jocey, the fab ladies who started this blog, are brilliant; hip and fun is the name of the game…and though those are their own words, I couldn’t agree more. I mean, just the name itself oozes giddiness. I’m particularly fond of their Sweet Deals section. Totally crushin’ on the clean, elegant look of this site!

Ruffled – This is another style-oriented blog with a vintage, edgy twist on the modern. They post some really cool, unique design ideas. Check out their Inspiration section. And, I know that a lot of brides are looking to try their hand at crafty, funky-chic invitations, etc. Not to mention all of the do-it-yourself stuff. LOVE their vintage vibe!

Junebug Weddings – The reason we love this blog is because of its structure, very easy to find things. Kim, Blair, and Christy have done an a-MAZING job of elegantly detailing everything a bride might want to know about, from fashion to flowers to decor. And, there’s a super-fab section for the dudes as well! I think it goes without saying that more and more grooms are involved in the wedding planning process…for better or for worse. ![]()

Earth Friendly Weddings – The name says it all! The focus of this blog is eco-friendly. This concept isn’t necessarily novel, but they’ve really put a great deal of effort into providing stylish, environmentally friendly options. And, they care about the details. I mean, who knew there were “repurposed spoons” out there! Very cool.

Eco Chic Weddings – Emily Anderson, who used to work for Martha Stewart Living, has received loads of accolades for her eco-chic concept (she’s also involved in eco-chic design – check out her book, “Eco-Chic Home”). She has perfectly combined eco-friendly with sophistication. I’m particularly intrigued by her post on ethical / fair-trade jewelry since, as we all know, most women love a little colorful sparkle, but this often comes at a great cost.

Maharani Weddings – Lastly, we’d like to give a super duper shout-out to Shawna who has created a blog specifically for South Asian brides. We’ve covered a ton of Indian weddings (and have even been featured on her blog, not biased, right?), and she’s done a wonderful job of providing a blend of traditional and contemporary ideas.
Anyway, that’s it for now! We’ve had the pleasure of interacting with several of the blog founders and they’ve all been extremely responsive and gracious.
Cheers.
